We start our journey in Cotlliure, a charming fishing village with colorful houses that line the shore. From here, we will sail past charming coastal towns such as Banyuls-sur-Mer, Cervere and Port-Vendres, each with its own history and unique character.
What will we see during the kayak route
During the kayak crossing, we will marvel at the grandeur of the cliffs that rise majestically next to the water. Its rock formations carved by time remind us of the strength of nature and offer us an impressive perspective of the coast.
An obligatory stop on this adventure is the Banyuls Marine Reserve, a paradise for lovers of marine life. Here, we will be able to explore the seabed full of life and color, discovering the richness of the underwater biodiversity of this protected area.
As we continue our way to Llançà, we will not only enjoy the stunning natural landscapes, but also enrich our understanding of the history and culture of Northern Catalonia. Each village we visit has its own fascinating stories to share, helping us better understand the richness and diversity of this region.

Day 1: Côtlliure – Peyrefite beach
Meeting time at SK Kayak 8:00am, approximate distance 18 – 20 km
Day 2: Peyrefite beach – Llançà
Morning snorkeling in the marine reserve and departure at 9:00 a.m. approximate distance 18 – 20 km

Information about Côte Vermeille Expedition
- Closed footwear that can get wet (old trainers, crocs, booties, etc.)
- Swimming trunks or trousers that can get wet.
- Thermal T-shirt or lycra that can get wet.
- Spare clothes and towel to change into when we finish the activity.
- If we wear glasses, some kind of strap to hold them so we don’t lose them.
- Sunglasses, sun cream
- Camping equipment (Sleeping bag, blanket, hammock…)
- Food and Water for 2 days.
- Sea kayak (closed) double or individual depending on the experience of the participant.
- Lifejacket, bathing cover, paddles, windbreaker and neoprene if necessary.
- Pond bags
- Guide qualified by the Canoeing Federation and by the Cap de Creus Natural Park with good knowledge of the area.

- Difficulty of the expeditioln: The route has an average level. Keep in mind that nature is unpredictable and can make the crossing a little more demanding depending on the weather conditions such as wind, waves, etc.
